Welcome to my site featuring Inflatable Power Boating

I used to race Inflatable Power boats for a number of years and found it to be an extremely exciting sport

which gets the adrenaline racing through your veins whether playing around or racing.

My favorite playground used to be at sea as I found the greatest rush travelling at between 80 to 90 kilometres an hour with the boat trimmed to the point where a simple mistake would cause you to flip the boat

There are three racing classes in Inflatable Power Boat Racing, namely - P550 which are boats driven by outboard motors with a maximum capacity of 550cc;  - P750 which are boats driven by outboard motors with a maximum capacity of 750cc; - P850 which is a class which allows modified outboard motors with a maximum capacity of 850cc. I used to race in the P750 class.

The boats are driven with a tiller arm as no steering mechanism is allowed.  The weight of a Racing Inflatable boat is +/- 65 to 75 kilograms.

Besides racing inflatable power boats, myself and a small backup team undertook a trip by sea of  +/-  650 kilometres from East London in the Eastern Cape to Durban in Natal South Africa over a period of two days.

I will be featuring photos of inflatable boats, just general playing around, racing and photos from the East London to Durban Trip.

Follow the links below to have a look at the photos which will be split into the three groups.
